Still Lacing Up Everyday
from Lawn Dude Unearthed Hosted by Lawn Dude Lawn Maintenance, LLC
It’s been a while since I’ve been behind the microphone, and this return comes with a lot on my heart. In this episode of Lawn Dude Unearthed, I reflect on losing my brother Dan “Crash” Murray earlier this year and now saying goodbye to Lonely Rider—a longtime Liberty Riders president who paved the way for generations of us. Both losses have me thinking about brotherhood, family, legacy, and how we spend the time we have with our people. I also open up about the challenge of lacing up my kicks every morning during a difficult season. Without getting into every private detail, I share what it feels like when running a business becomes a hamster wheel: moving faster, working harder, and still struggling to find breathing room. I still care deeply about the work and the people I serve. But the enjoyment has been harder to hold onto these last couple of years, and I’m trying to find my way back to it. Hearing BigXthaPlug discuss fatherhood on The Pivot connected with me, especially the role his children play in keeping him going. I relate to that as a father who wants to provide while also being present for the moments that matter. Grounded in 2 Corinthians 4:8–9, this is an honest conversation about grief, responsibility, faith, and finding joy again while you’re still working through the hard parts. If showing up has felt heavy lately, this episode is for you. Check on your people. Let your people check on you. I’m still lacing up. —Micah Hudson Lawn Dude Unearthed
