Stop Pretending--It's Ok to not be Ok!

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”JOHN 13:34The word pretend means, “speak and act so as to make it appear that something is the case when in fact it is not.” As children, I can re- member pretending to be a superhero or champion. I can remember the amazing journeys and adventures that I took in my backyard. The exciting and dangerous enemies that wanted to destroy me, and the skills that I imagined I had to defeat them. As a child, pretending was so much fun, because it took me out of the world I was in, and led me to the world where the impossible was made possible.As adults, we still pretend, but we tend to do that so that we avoid the hardships of life that sometimes come. We pretend that everything is ok, when in fact, sometimes things are really not ok.  Let's journey together and trust that God is using these difficult times to transform us and glorify His name! Support the show
