When Isaac asks, “Where is the lamb?” Abraham’s response becomes one of the most profound statements of faith in the Bible: “God will provide for Himself the lamb.”And He does.God stops the sacrifice and provides a ram in Isaac’s place—teaching us that God never delights in loss, but in trust. This moment points far beyond Abraham’s altar. On the same mountain range centuries later, God would not stop the sacrifice.
