And once again, God provides a way of deliverance.When fiery serpents strike the camp, the cure seems unusual — a bronze serpent lifted on a pole. But the healing was not in the metal. It was in the looking.Faith was expressed through obedience.Life came through trust.Salvation came by looking to God’s provision.The wilderness is not just a place of testing. It’s a place of revelation. God shows His power over enemies. He exposes unbelief. And He points forward to something greater.Jesus would later say in John 3:14–15 that just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up — that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life.Victory doesn’t come from striving.Healing doesn’t come from self-effort.Life comes from looking up.If you’re in a wilderness season today, don’t look inward in frustration.
