After the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd, this also became a discussion about the effects of systemic racism on businesses.  G. Eric Knowles, President and CEO of the MD Chamber of Commerce, Matthew Pigatt, Opa Locka's Mayor and also the Chamber's Minority and Small Business Enterprise Manager, and I engage a discussion about African American history dating back to the 16th century and how through the centuries, our history has impacted money, business relations and real estate in our communities. We list some of the disparities in the Black community, including wealth/financial, not just health 3. How mental health problems can affect us as entrepreneurs, business owners and how it can affect our staff 4. Cultural sensitivity - what should business owners be aware of 5. And of course, the SOLUTIONS: how do we improve our own mental wellbeing and our team's mental wellness???? 6. How do we prepare mentally to return to work now and post COVID-19??? Thank you for your ear! BRAIN LOVE!
