Streaky Bay Jockey Kerrin McEvoy Wins 2016 Melbourne Cup

South Australian jockey Kerrin McEvoy has again risen to the summit of Australian horse racing winning the 2016 Melbourne Cup with Almandin at Flemington. McEvoy celebrated overnight with his father Phillip McEvoy, trainer Robert Hickmott and mega-rich owner Lloyd Williams at Melbourne Crowne Plaza.His wife Cathy was at home heavily pregnant with their fourth child and is expected to give birth next week, but whilst McEvoy says he was not going to miss the opportunity to race but will use some of the winnings to buy his wife a sparkly ring!
