Stress Awareness Pop-Up Health Fair Expands Access to Mental Health Support in Soufriere

from Government of Saint Lucia

Residents of Soufriere along with patrons and vendors of the Soufriere Farmers Market recently benefited from a Stress Awareness Pop-Up Health Fair hosted by the Community Mental Health Team in the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Nutrition as part of activities marking Stress Awareness Month observed in April. Held under the theme “Be the Change,” the initiative aimed to encourage individuals to take proactive steps toward improving their mental well-being while increasing awareness of available mental health services in Saint Lucia. The event provided residents and community members with access to brief mental health assessments, blood pressure and glucose monitoring, mental health support, health education, and information on services available across the island.
