Stressed? Anxious? A Practice to return B.A.L.A.N.C.E

from Peaceful By Nature · host Sage Simpson

This is a powerful practice that can be used anytime you are experiencing stress, anxiety, or in a situation that has you feeling angry, frustrated, or not at ease in any way. This is a meditation and reflection that can be done in stillness, with a journal, or out on a walk. Take this practice and use it before you react to anything that has you feeling distressed. This will help you respond in a skillful way to whatever situation you are encountering. This will allow you to check in with yourself and process what is going on before you take rash action, or say things that lead to more conflict. This follows the acronym of BALANCE, and you can remember to use these tools in any situation. Honestly, if you just use the first one you will find greater peace. Use the first 2, 3, 4 or all 7 and you will have the skills to navigate many challenging situations. A short 2 min version of this will be available as a Thanksgiving Gift.
