Welcome to the Leadership Vision Podcast, where we share our expertise in the discovery, practice, and implementation of StrengthsFinder.

Today on the podcast our President and CEO, Brian Schubring, and I discuss the topic of change. No matter your scope of influence or the number of people being affected, change will always be one of the challenges facing leaders. Change can test your adaptive capacities, cast shadows of doubt within yourself, cloud your vision of the future, and erode the clarity of a well-planned strategy. Change may threaten the trust of team members and distract even the most focused members of your team. On the other hand, change can also be a welcome catalyst for greater clarity, compassion, and community.

As we look back on our year at Leadership Vision, it has been one involving lots of change for us. Changes to our team, changes to the way we’re doing business, some changes to our focus and more. Parts of that change have been easy to navigate, while other parts not so much.

Today, Brian and Nathan share three strategies for navigating change that will help teams and individuals come out stronger on the other side.

In this episode, you'll learn:

  • The first question we ask teams when dealing with change.
  • Understand how you best engage with change (before, during, or after).
  • Strategies for understanding your personal response to change.
  • How your Strengths impact your response to change.

Riold Furtuna After several positions and experiences I have become fascinated with the question: how can leaders start out on the right foot? In order to getting closer to answering this question, I set up the podcast series “inspire me!”. On each episode I interview leaders that have had and continue to have a great impact on society and have, directly or indirectly, inspired me and influenced my personal and professional choices. While we discuss the main topic of leadership, on each episode we’ll focus on subtopics, such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, compassion, integrity, and persistence, to mention a few. My vision is to tap into the experience of these leaders and ultimately provide young and emerging leaders a compass for maximizing the impact we have in the world while being uncompromisingly ethical.
