Suffering Faithfully in Marriage
Marriage often brings moments of deep joy, but it can also bring disappointment when our spouse falls short of meeting our expectations or fulfilling their responsibilities. In 1 Peter 2:18–24, Peter teaches that God is honored when we continue to do what is right, even while suffering unjustly. Applying this principle to marriage, we see that our faithfulness to the marriage covenant is not determined by our spouse's behavior but by our obedience to God. Believers are required to remain committed to loving, serving, and honoring their spouse despite disappointment, following the example of Christ, who suffered without retaliation and entrusted Himself to the Father. As we suffer faithfully in marriage, we reflect the character of Christ and demonstrate that our ultimate hope is found in God, not in the perfect performance of our spouse. __________ Matthew 19:11-12 MSG, 1 Peter 2:18-24 NLT __________ Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com __________
