Super Mario 64 (1996): Can You Go Back?

from Infinite Cities

Super Mario 64 is one of the most important games of all time. It set the standard for 3D platformers and 3D games in general, and brought Mario and nintendo into the future while many of his platforming contemporaries failed to make the jump and died in a bottomless pit. Yet, despite being so foundational, there still isn't much exactly like it. Maybe it's nostalgia, or maybe it just predates so many of the rules that have been laid down since then, but it still has surprises even after all this time. In this episode:  retro hardware, dream spaces, cameras, that little fucking circle mario does when turning some of the time, the reward for 120 stars really isn't worth it which is such a 2026 way of thinking, the map, internet archive please stop offering nintendo games for free. ~shoutouts zone~ Super Mario 64 Official Strategy Guide Mario 64 On A Real CRT TV Noodle's "what did you do", about CRT effects Big Boo's Haunt 3d model and Cool Cool Mountain 3d model BAZR ~~~ Our theme music is Glass Half Full by the incredible Cliff, you can find him on Bandcamp!
