David spent time with God. He was known as a man after God's own heart. He had daily communion with his Heavenly Father. He relied on God through the various trials, difficulties and opposition he faced. David learned that God would always show him His goodness, love and mercy. "Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place." ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭23‬:‭6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬.
