Suspended Ekurhuleni Deputy Police Chief Commissioner Julius Mkhwanazi claims he was targeted over the 'blue lights' saga. He has been giving testimony before the Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system. Mkhwanazi has testified that his relationship with attempted murder accused, Vusumuzi "Cat" Matlala developed into a brotherly relationship.
