Where do I begin? Grateful to the universe for connecting Seyed and me.Indeed, this is the stuff they make movies about. And there is absolutelynothing political here. Just us humans talking about a special journey. Seyedwas born in Northern Iran in 1974. A large family. A father addicted to drugs. An illiterate mother. He was not a good student, but received a special giftthat energized him. He graduated from a prestigious Iranian university andimmigrated to America in 2012. He got his PhD in Molecular Medicine. He’swritten numerous articles on cancer and reproductive health. AND WHY WE AREHERE TODAY. His amazing memoir, “In Search of Rain from Motel Ou to Pittsburgh:A Memoir for Everyone.” A must-listen-to interview. As I often do, here aresome words and thoughts from Seyed. He buried his father with his hands. Adifficult childhood. Don’t ever give up (He said this often). He had aninspiring teacher in a wheelchair in elementary school. A fifth-grade teachertold him that he can be better. What surprised Seyed most about America was itsdiversity; Living with tranquility. Human values. To have impossible dreams. (remindedme of the song). In search of rain means freedom and peace. His memoir took tenyears to write. It’s a beautiful and inspiring book. Seyed talked about AndrewCarnegie. And philanthropy. Trying to help people inspires him. Seyed hugelyinspired me.” Calvin🎙️ 845+ Interviews & Videos; 6 years, nearly 500 interviews on 6continents.
