Take Accountability for Your Consent

#Consent Taking ownership of our Consent isn't as straightforward as it seems within BDSM and Kink. Often people think that when a boundary or limit has been crossed, it's automatically the other person's fault. But this isn't always the case. If you have consented to a particular action but haven't laid out the details clearly (such as timeframe, impact levels, areas that this action can be done to or not, etc.), you may feel that you have been violated or that a boundary has been crossed. But, if WE are the ones that weren't clear with our instructions, we need to be able to take ownership of that. If you can't accept the concept that you may have been at fault by not giving enough details on the Consent you gave, don't get into BDSM and Kink. Again, people are not mind readers, and if you are not clear enough on the information and instructions you are giving, that information and instructions may be interpreted differently.
