Takeaways from FASD National Impact Week with Jenn Wisdahl
from Living with FASD · host Patricia Kasper
Living with FASD is an educational and human interest show for those living with the effects of prenatal exposure to alcohol, their loved one and anyone interested in learning more about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, brought to you by someone with both professional and living experience with FASD. This week, I welcome Jenn Wisdahl, the Chief Operating Officer of FASD United, back to the mic of Living with FASD. Jenn was last on the show in late August, talking about the various activities and events that FASD had planned and was working on. Today, Jenn is back to update us on the success of the FASD National Impact Week in Washington DC, held in mid-September. It is a fun and lively discussion that celebrates FASD United's hard work on all our behalf. The silent auction alone raised $170,000. I'm told that my book, Sip by Sip: Candid Conversations with People Diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) was a popular auction item. (you can find it on Amazon by clicking here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGMQLBLH ) Jenn leads a fantastic team of folks who are dedicated to improving the lives of those with an FASD. Please visit fasdunited.org to learn how you can get involved! If you would like to suggest topics of the show or just to say hello, you can reach me at [email protected]. If you would like to become part of the podcast community, hop on over to Facebook and join our group “Living with FASD Podcast.” I am a Certified Facilitator of FASCETS Neurobehavioral Model.
