Season 3 Episode 8The Living Full Out Show understands the importance of being patient in all aspects of life. It is easy to be anxious and annoyed when things don’t happen as we had planned. Being able to tolerate the difficult times without complaining or worry can bring us peace of mind, even in the darkest of times. Our first caller Janelle has been having arguments with her friends and she feels like they have been picking on her. As issues go unresolved, she feels the resentment building in her friendships. Nancy challenges her to envision herself as a person who stands up for herself and takes charge instead of being the person who lets people take putting her down. She encourages her to be her own best advocate in life and others will notice. Our next caller Caroline will be applying to grad school soon and wants to know what she can do in order to stand out from other applicants. Nancy advises her to sell herself by highlighting her personal strengths. She encourages her to ask her close family and friends what they feel stands out about her personality and to take that feedback use it as her own personal unique selling points. During the show Nancy coaches her listeners on how to be more patient. She points out that when life becomes overwhelming with demands and requirements, there are ways to bring more peace into our lives through being patient. Another caller Mario has been doing all he can to take care of his terminally ill father. He is struggling with feelings of guilt when his time is spent fulfilling his many daily obligations and commitments. Nancy advises him to be patient with himself and to make sure and spent the most quality time he can with his father when he is with him. She encourages him to be proud of himself and all that he does in order to avoid feeling guilty. In the next segment our caller Annalie is struggling with her relationship with her coworker after she confessed romantic feelings towards him. She is stressed that work will be awkward because he did not reciprocate her feelings. Nancy reassures her that his feelings toward her have nothing to do her personally and are more a reflection of what may be going on in his personal life. She commends her for being brave and reminds her that courage and confidence are attractive qualities. Our last caller Rita struggles with being able to slow down and take time out for herself. Nancy applauds her for being reliable and supportive to everyone around her but reminds her to take time out to do the things that bring her joy in life. Even if only 10 minutes at time, she challenges her to stay focused and make time for herself a priority. Patience allows us the to ability to accept life’s difficulties with understanding and self-control.
