Tatiana Faia nasceu a 30 de Junho de 1986, e vive e trabalha em Oxford há uma década. É autora de um livro de contos e 5 de poesia. O mais recente, Adriano, edição Não Edições. Classicista por opção e, arriscaria eu dizer, também paixão, é doutorada em Literatura Grega Antiga com uma tese sobre a Ilíada de Homero. Ensinou literatura lusófona na Universidade de Cambridge e, intermitentemente, estudou teatro grego e Kavafis em Atenas. A tradução é outra das suas ocupações – de resto, teve a gentileza de traduzir também para esta conversa. Traduziu Homero, Fílon de Alexandria, Anne Carson e Herman Melville. É uma das editoras da revista Enfermaria 6 ao lado de João Coles, José Pedro Moreira e Victor Gonçalves, um projecto onde encontramos amiúde traduções de poesia, reflexões e textos sobre livros, e que faz também edição. Quando pensamos na geografia de Tatiana Faia pensamos no Reino Unido, onde escolheu viver, mas também em Itália e na Grécia, países a que regressa sempre, seja fisicamente seja nas leituras. Em 2019 venceu o Prémio Pen de Poesia com “Um Quarto em Atenas”, edição Tinta da China. Acredita que a poesia deveria fazer parte da educação de toda a gente.
