from TBI One Love Podcast · host with James Durham

To kick off the TBI One Love #mindfulmarch Podcast series on the 6th, we will be having:  Dr. Fatima Nasrallah from The University of Queensland in Australia. That is right, Australia! Dr. Nasrallah is a neuroscientist with a background in magnetic resonance and interdisciplinary brain research. Through her work, she has established herself as one of the world experts in the area of functional brain imaging. Her most significant contribution was made in 2014 when she demonstrated for the first time, imaging resting state functional connectivity in the brain using MRI.  Now, Dr Nasrallah is the lead on a $1.7M project on #traumaticbraininjuryfunded by the Medical Research Future Fund that harnesses her expertise in imaging and clinical biomarkers to predict outcomes for patients with a brain injury! She is  spearheading a ground-breaking study investigating markers for the diagnosis and prediction of the long-term effects of #concussion on the brain, with the aim of developing robust on-field and in-clinic methods that can better detect and monitor concussion.
