To wrap up our January podcast series, we are having inspirational guest: Oisín C. Joyce from Ireland! Oisín, is a PhD candidate in Physiology currently undertaking his doctoral research at Trinity College Dublin in the area of Sports Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury! He has previously worked as a Research assistant investigating pre-clinical models and efficacious treatments (pharmacological and alternatives) of TBI and repetitive head impacts in both small and large animal models. He currently is investigating the brain health of current and retired athletes across a range of contact and non-contact sports using a neuropsychological measure of multisensory integration and perception, to determine whether self-reported concussion history and exposure to repetitive head throughout a sporting career can influence brain health and if there is an associative link to cardiovascular health and disease.   One love
