TBI One Love Podcast

from TBI One Love Podcast · host with James Durham

Tonight to wrap up our July series, we are having Dr. Byom who is a Speech Pathologist and researcher dedicated to positive functional cognitive-communication outcomes for people with TBI at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. One of Dr. Byom's long-term research goals is to develop a more complete model of the relationships between cognition and communication across the lifespan. Better understanding the relationships between communication and cognition is critical to the development of more effective treatments for high-level communication problems experienced by many men and women with neurologic communication disorders. This will also help with better understanding how cognitive deficits translate into communication disorders after Traumatic Brain Injury and how communication outcomes may change across the lifespan.   Tune in at 9pm cst on: tbionelove.org/podcast
