To wrap up our April series, we are having one of our own survivor family members: Melissa Mesazaros from Washington State.  Melissa is a comic book publicist and three years ago(04/17/2018) she was walking to a Judas Priest gig with some friends in Portland when she was hit by a car while was walking on a designated cross walk and suffered a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury. She had a long road of recovery and has to relocate herself. After her phenomenal recovery, she started her own company: Don’t Hide PR and to get creative with all the notes that she took throughout her recovery “smattering mess of notes” were weaved into a memoir, 'Heavy Metal Headbang'.
