"TEMPLE SYMBOLISM OF THE BODY", Carol Wilkinson, BYU, 2005

We are taught that our bodies are temples. What does that mean and what are the blessings associated with treating our bodies as temples? In 2005, Carol Wilkinson, a BYU professor, wrote an article about these very questions. Using scriptures and citations of prophets, she teaches how we can be conduits of revelation, the same as the latter day temples that we physically enter to do temple work. D&C 109 certainly lays out the process and blessings associated with being a savior upon Mount Zion, and the effect that that work can have on our bodies. If we will treat our bodies as the tabernacle of God's that they are, we will find great treasures of hidden knowledge.
