In her kindergarten and elementary school years, her favorite movies included classics like "Chucky” and “Candyman.” Unable to be tied to one genre, she’s consumed work from writers like Edgar Allen Poe, Kazuo Ishiguro, Toni Morrison, Amy Tan, Patricia Cornwell, Stephen King, Ayn Rand, and Zane. Her fascination with the human psyche led her to earning a master's degree in addictions psychotherapy and working in the mental health world for over a decade before turning her life over to literature.
