In this sermon, we explore the Thessalonian church, born through Paul’s bold three-week ministry (1 Thessalonians 2:1-5, 6-8, 11-13). Even after he left, their faith was alive and active, fueled by the message that Christ had risen (Acts 17:3). Paul nurtured them like a mother, giving tender care and spiritual nourishment, and guided them like a father, giving clear, loving instruction to live faithfully before God. He spoke boldly, not to please people, but to honor God, trusting that His word would work in their hearts (1 Thessalonians 2:13). Through their obedience and reception of God’s word, the Thessalonians became a vibrant, faithful community.
