Thanksgiving: More Than Just a Holiday

Along the way, we expose hollow habits of “thanks” that center ourselves, contrast them with genuine, Godward gratitude, and explore why thanksgiving is the natural language of a Spirit-filled life.We map three common attitudes—unnecessary, hypocritical, and true—and then climb through three levels of thankfulness. First comes the easy part: thanking God after blessing. Then the harder step: thanking him before the victory arrives, like Jehoshaphat sending singers ahead of soldiers. Finally, the deepest practice: thanking God in the thick of trial, as Daniel prayed with an open window and the apostles rejoiced after suffering for the Name.
