One More Day is Actually One Day LessThe passing of time, day by day, can sometimes feel endlessly torturous. I remember when the summers of my youth seemed to last a lifetime. Counting down the days when I was young, in boot camp, or during other unbearable waits often left me asking how many more days I had to endure. The truth is, no matter how old we are or what we are waiting for to arrive or pass, it is not one more day we must endure, but it is one less day we have in totality. Our lives are finite. The days we have are numbered. So perhaps, if we recognize that each day lived or endured results in one less day we have to spend, we may spend each day differently and more urgently on things worthy of the remaining days.
