Oscar Mike Radio 500 – Mistress Carrie and Rolling Thunder MA Chapter 2
The show began with my longtime friend and supporter, Mistress Carrie. A media professional with decades of experience in radio, music, production, and podcasting, Carrie has appeared on every 100th episode of Oscar Mike Radio. We met at the USMC Scout Sniper Association Skydive Event at Jumptown in Orange, Massachusetts, and her continued advocacy for veterans proves that civilians and women play a vital role in supporting those who served. After leaving Orange and getting in a training session for his weekend's Bay State Games, I headed to Foxborough, MA, to record with Rolling Thunder MA Chapter 2. Rolling Thunder's mission to educate the public about POW/MIA issues and support veterans from all wars was on full display. From the POW Pledge of Allegiance to the Missing Man Table Ceremony, every moment was powerful and meaningful. What struck me most was realizing that many of the strongest advocates in the room were women and civilians whose commitment to veterans has changed lives and strengthened communities. Thank you to the members of Rolling Thunder MA Chapter 2 for welcoming me into your family. Thank you also to Keith Hayes of Sinista1 Productions, Kip Clark of Stride and Saunter, and Nancy Morrison of Nancy's Nook Podcast for your support along the way. Even on the most "Semper Gumby" of days, it is good to see everyone being Oscar Mike. We are Mission in Flight.

Veterans Talk Veterans Divided The Take Care of Veterans Act
This week on Veterans Talk, Magic Mike took an in-depth look at the proposed Take Care of Veterans Act and the recent decision to delay the legislation in the House.During the episode, Mike discussed the bill's major provisions, including the Major Richard Star Act, the Love Lives On Act, expanded mental health initiatives, caregiver support, education benefits, suicide prevention programs, and other veteran-focused reforms. He also addressed the controversy surrounding proposed changes to VA disability rating criteria for sleep apnea and tinnitus, explaining why those provisions have generated significant debate among veteran service organizations.Magic Mike shared his personal perspective on why he believes misinformation and disagreement between several veterans organizations contributed to the bill being pulled from consideration. He encouraged veterans to read the legislation for themselves, stay informed, and continue participating in discussions that affect the veteran community. The episode concluded with a reminder that Military Broadcast Radio exists to give veterans a voice, encouraging listeners to stay engaged, support fellow veterans, and continue advocating for policies that improve the lives of those who have served.Giving Veterans a Voice. Love Letters from God – "Lighting Up God's Word"
This episode focuses on the theme that God is the light that guides us through life's darkest moments. The message begins by comparing a power outage to the darkness we sometimes experience in life. While earthly lights can fail, God's light never goes out because Jesus is the true Light of the world. The host reflects on the story of the woman caught in adultery (John 8), explaining that instead of condemning her, Jesus offered forgiveness and a new beginning. This demonstrates that God's light brings hope, grace, and transformation rather than condemnation.A story about two lighthouses on the Irish coast illustrates an important lesson: one lighthouse shines by reflecting the other's light. Likewise, Christians are called to reflect God's love and grace to those around them. The Scripture reading covers Psalms 43, 44, and 45:Psalm 43 reminds believers to seek God's light and truth during difficult times. David calls on God to lead him out of darkness and restore his hope.Psalm 44 honestly expresses confusion and pain. David remembers God's past faithfulness while questioning why Israel is suffering, showing that God welcomes our honest prayers even when we don't understand our circumstances.Psalm 45 shifts to praise and celebration, describing God's righteous King whose reign is marked by truth, justice, beauty, and everlasting glory. The program concludes with the poem "Sun Ray," encouraging listeners to recognize how far they have come through God's strength, even when they don't see their own growth. The closing message reminds listeners that:Every person has a purpose designed by God.The Bible is God's love letter, filled with guidance, encouragement, and examples for everyday life.Reading Scripture allows God's light to direct our path and equips us to share His love with others. The episode ends with a prayer asking God to continue being the light that leads His people through every season of life and encourages listeners to trust His guidance in both joyful and difficult times.

TWOCPT, Series The Consciousness of Humanity (4 parts), Eps 80, The Age of Entitlement
OverviewMJ launches a new four-part series exploring The Consciousness of Humanity. In this first installment, she examines what she calls "The Age of Entitlement," arguing that entitlement is not a problem caused by one generation, but the result of decades of cultural, technological, and societal changes. Rather than assigning blame, she encourages listeners to become more aware, reflect on history, and restore balance in their own lives.Awareness over judgment: Every life event is a lesson meant to increase consciousness, forgiveness, healing, and personal growth.Entitlement as a symptom: Entitlement isn't the root issue; it often stems from fear, insecurity, comparison, and a desire for validation.History shapes humanity: Each generation tried to improve life for the next, but every solution also introduced new challenges.Balance is essential: Progress without balance can lead to unintended consequences in families, communities, and society.MJ walks through several decades to explain how society evolved:1950s–1960s: Strong family values, community support, hard work, gratitude, and resilience.1970s: Personal development, education, community involvement, and responsibility flourished.1980s: Success, consumerism, media influence, and material achievement became central themes.1990s: The internet, global communication, and self-esteem movements increased comparison and individualism.2000s–Present: Social media, instant gratification, 9/11, economic crises, and COVID accelerated anxiety, isolation, and dependence on technology. When did gratitude become expectation?Does history repeat itself, or does human nature repeat the same patterns? Are we adapting to change while maintaining balance? What personal event in your life is asking for your awareness today?MJ shares her belief that:Humans are spiritual beings having a human experience.Every challenge is a classroom for learning.Healing begins with awareness rather than blame.Consciousness grows through gratitude, responsibility, humility, compassion, and service to others.MJ concludes that restoring humanity begins with individual choices:Practice kindness.Choose gratitude.Serve others.Heal unresolved emotional patterns.Become more aware instead of more reactive. She ends by reminding listeners that one conscious, balanced person can positively influence families, communities, and ultimately humanity. Oscar Mike Radio-Episode 498 Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn
In this episode of Oscar Mike Radio, I had the opportunity to sit down with Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn at Boston City Hall for an important conversation about serving those who have served our country. As a Navy veteran and disabled veteran himself, Ed shares why he has made it a priority to advocate for veterans whose voices are too often overlooked, including women veterans, veterans of color, and those facing significant challenges after their military service. One story that stood out to me was that of Steve, a disabled double-amputee veteran living in a Boston Housing Authority apartment. After the building's elevator broke down, Steve was unable to reach his sixth-floor apartment and was forced to sleep outside. Ed explains why this situation should never have happened, discusses his concerns about the city's response, and reinforces the simple truth that every veteran deserves dignity, respect, and access to safe housing. We also talk about the importance of veterans stepping into leadership roles and public service, where they can continue making a difference in their communities long after they take off the uniform. Thank you, Councilor Flynn, for your lifelong commitment to veterans and for joining me on Oscar Mike Radio to share your perspective and your mission to ensure no veteran is forgotten.Everyone Matters#Boston #EdFlynn,#Councilor,#Veterans

Love Letters from God Our Gift of Peace
Tomorrow's reading comes from I Chronicles 22:1–19 and Psalm 30.In these passages, we see that peace is more than the absence of conflict—it is a gift from God that allows His purposes to flourish. David prepares the way for Solomon to build the Temple, recognizing that while he would not complete the work himself, God had chosen a season of peace for the next generation to fulfill His plan. Psalm 30 reminds us that God is faithful through every season. He turns our mourning into dancing, our sorrow into joy, and our cries into songs of praise. His favor brings hope, healing, and renewed strength. May today's reading encourage you to trust God's timing, embrace His peace, and faithfully prepare the way for the work He has called you to do. His gift of peace is not only for our comfort but also for His glory.

Join me on Carried Forward as I sit down with Stacy Thigpen—widower, owner of PaddleTX, and founder of Paddle Thru Grief. Together, we explore the power of being outdoors, the importance of community in grief, and how creating space for others to heal has become part of Stacy's own continued journey. Turnbuckles & Stogies Tag Team Tastes the Lavega Episode
"You’re looking at the man who changed the game, and tonight? The landscape of Turnbuckles and Stogies is changing forever. For months, I’ve been watching from the sidelines. I’ve seen the pretenders. I’ve seen the watered-down, mass-produced noise masquerading as the real deal. People talking a big game about flavor, about craftsmanship, about passion... but when the bell rings, they fold under pressure. They don't know what it takes to build a legacy from the ground up. But I do. I am the man behind La Vega Cigars. I don't just sell an experience; I sell absolute perfection wrapped in a leaf. I bring the kind of quality that makes veterans weep and leaves the rookies searching for the exits. And tonight, I’m bringing that exact same unfiltered, hard-hitting energy straight to the Turnbuckles and Stogies studio. To the hosts, to the listeners, to anybody tuning in thinking they know what’s coming: strap in. We aren't here to play nice. We aren't here to blow smoke. We are here to lay down the law, drop some undeniable truth, and show the world what a true heavyweight champion of the cigar industry looks like. The hype train stops tonight. Aaron has arrived. And once you get a taste of La Vega... nothing else will ever measure up. See less
