The Advent and Christmas Seasons

This week, Peter and Leslie, begin a short series on the Advent and Christmas Season. Advent is that time in the liturgical calendar when we, the faithful, prepare our hearts to celebrate the coming of the Lord! His coming, both as the babe in Bethlehem and the conquering King at the end of time, gives us hope in the midst of an unstable world. To celebrate Advent, it is necessary to understand its history as well as its theology. Advent is key to a correct approach to the holiday season and allows us to make Jesus first in a secular culture!
