Welcome back to the anointed word. I'm your host Omar Exumet, the pastor of the House of Worship in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. We are excited to have you this evening to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. I just want to share with you too that as you listen to this word, I pray that the Holy Spirit will be speaking with you directly to help you and I get more aligned with Jesus Christ.

Let's take a moment to listen and may God bless you. The wilderness is not a bad thing. The wilderness is we see that God is extending his hand, he's showcasing his hand. And if you're able to pinch it, if you're able to focus on that, then you will see that God is in the wilderness with you.

He doesn't leave us nor forsake us. The wilderness, the Israelites were able to go through the wilderness in 40 days if they wanted to. For this obedient, they chose the other round and that was 40 years. So today we can go through the wilderness in 40 days or we can go in 40 years.

All the ciphers are dependent upon if we're willing to obey. If we're willing to learn what God wants us to learn in the wilderness, then we can be able to live the life that God wants us to live. I share this last week with you again. The wilderness is key because when you understand what God wants to teach you in the wilderness, when you go to the place of the promise, you will know how to live.

You will know how to live. You will know how to worship. You will know how to obey. You don't learn in the time of the promise.

You'll learn in the time of the wilderness. Amen Church. So what I'm saying here today is don't ask God to take you out of the wilderness. Ask God to take the root of the wilderness so that you can learn whatever you need to learn to let that moment actually reach the promise land.

Now, to reach where you're supposed to reach, you know exactly what to do. Hallelujah. So if you don't mind this end with me here for a moment, we're gonna read the same script every read last week. It's in the Jewish faith, they call this the Ashama, and do the Rani, chapter six, verses four through nine.

We'll read this here in a moment, and then we'll speak about what God has on our hearts. Here, O Israel, this is do the Rani, six, verses four through nine. Here, O Israel, the Lord, our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

And these words which man you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

That is the word of the Lord, you may be seated. Last week we took a lot of time focusing on the Lord or God, the Lord is one. Today we're gonna focus on you shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. So first point here today that we want to share with you is in this relationship that we have with God, we must be dependent on God.

Yeah, yeah. Israelites were learning that they had to be dependent on God, and God put them in that position because the wilderness is uninhabited, right? The wilderness is uncultivated. The wilderness in a sense is isolated, if you will.

The wilderness doesn't have the things that you need to live in a sense. You gotta work, you gotta work it for it to produce, right? And so they were in the wilderness, and when they needed food, God provided. And when they needed water, God provided through a rock.

And whatever that they needed, God provided He sustained them, He kept them throughout the time of the wilderness. He, for days, and for those who made it through, He kept them for 40 years. He said that the clothes on their back did not tear. He said the sandals on their feet did not wear out.

God took care of His people. It was over 2 million people, if you cut the tribes and all those things that they were doing. There were over 2 million people that God was taking care of. He didn't need help from any person was able to do it by Himself.

In other words, God is sharing with us that apart from me, you can't live. The wilderness will find yourself in positions and times where it just gets difficult. And you realize that you can't do it on your own. Only God is able to come through for you.

And so, yeah, He's saying in a sense, life, He's safe, really. Life apart from God is death. Life apart from God is death. Have you ever been in a situation where you could not go left or you could not go right or you could not go north or you could not go south?

The only way to look was up, have that ever allowed you to be in a position where we are able to acknowledge that God is the only source of my life, God is wanting us to know that today is the source and the only source. That's why we speak of things, there is resource because it must come from the source. In other words, my life is meaningless without God. In other words, my life was made by God, to God, for God, in God and with God.

My existence only appears because of God. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That is really what happens. My life is only here because the source had kept me.

See, it felt in some kind of way that we are exceeding because of what I accomplished or what we accomplished on our own, you are mistaken. We are successful because of what God has accomplished in life. That would be a good moment to give God some praise, even right there. If you look at your life, the only reason why you're here is because of God.

You might think, oh, oh, my life is not great. Are you breathing? Are you walking? Are you, hey, God is still active in your life.

Acknowledge that he's been good. So yeah, I live for God. I live for God. I've heard people say, I live to help people.

I've heard people say, I live for my children. I've heard people say, I live for my spouse. I've heard people say, I live for my job. But let me tell you, my sisters, I don't live for any other thing.

I live for God. God is the source of our life. And if we give credit or acknowledge anyone else that says, no, I'm only alive because of them. We're missing the aspect of the wilderness.

My existence is grounded upon my God. So I live for God, to God, in God, with God, because God is the only source that I have. Yeah, I have a wife, man. I love my wife.

She's great, but my source is God. I have children. I know my children are great, but I live for my God. I know my job is great, but I live for my God.

My God, my God alone. Don 15, five says this. I am Jesus says this. I am divine.

You are the branches, the one who remains in me, and I in him bears much more apart from me. You can do nothing. That's where the Lord, that's why he shares with us. If I try to do things on my own, I will accomplish what?

Nothing. Yeah, it might seem like I've accomplished a lot, but I really accomplished nothing. But with God, I accomplished great. First Corinthians chapter eight verse six says this, yet for us there is only one God, from whom are all things.

And we exist for him, and one more, Jesus Christ, by whom were all things that we exist through him. In other words, he is a source, and in him exists all things. So I live through him. I can experience the, he needs to experience.

Amen? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't need to go out on my own. I don't need to go searching on my own.

If I see God, all that I need is found in him. That's the word of God. That's why he wants to challenge us. That is why he wants us to work in the wilderness.

That those depend on man, those depend on things, depend on me. My God is able to supply all of my needs more than I can ever ask or think my God is able and capable. So first, we need to understand from the wilderness in this relationship that my relationship is dependent upon God. My dependence is laid on God.

God will direct me. He will tell me where to go. He will tell me how fast to move. He will tell me where to start.

He will tell me when to finish. My God is my source. We brothers and sisters have to, as if God is our source. Secondly, he was teaching the Israelites that everything I have, in other words, to the people, everything I have belongs to God.

Can I say that again? I have also God. If God is a source and he provides for me, then all that I have belongs to God. In the wilderness, they were depending on God.

Yes, they were looking at the provision that God provided that he told them how much man I took for a day. He says, on the 50th, or the 60th, collect two days work. He won't spoil. He took care of his people.

And now he's sharing with Israelites that because you depend on me, all that I have belongs to God. The moment you say my children belongs to God, it belongs to me, problems will occur. Yeah. The moment you say that my wife belongs to me, problems occur.

Because everything I have belongs to God. Oh, you see, my husband is only for me problems occur. Because the Bible says that God is a jealous God. Yes, he is.

He's not just in the way that we're jealous. It's a different type of jealousy. The jealousy is I have so much, so much great things for you. I want you to seek what I have.

I want you to say, I like what you have, give that to me. That's a difference. God is jealous because you're losing to take so less than what God for you. Also that, this is a problem.

Yeah, I have my wife, I love her, but I have to be careful on how I deal with God's daughter. You see that? Then I call my wife. I can't treat her any old way.

I got to respect her. I got to cherish her because she's not really mine, she's God. And whatever belongs to God must be respected and treated. I'll do it.

Yeah. That's what it ought to be. And everything the same way she looks at me and says, I must respect God's son. Right?

That's how even my children, I love them. Thank God for responsibility to cover his children. Do you hear my words? His children.

The moment I think their mind, I'll treat them any other way. But because I know they don't belong to me, they belong to God. I must treat them with respect. I must treat them wholly.

Are you with me, Church? Yeah, yeah, yeah. When I say, hold on, I'm not saying that they're above. No, no, no.

What I'm saying is the way that I treat them should be in a holy manner. Because they own to God. I got to be careful. The problem with everything I have belongs to God is we tend to have a mindset to only talk to God when we need something.

We spend time and we can be fasting, man. And we're fasting only asking God, give me, give me, give me, give me. What relationship works well when all you're doing is taking and never giving? That is what we're putting here in the wilderness.

God is all I have given to you belongs to me. We need to learn just to say, Lord, I give you my life. Lord, I give you my body. Everything that I have belongs to you, my finances, my relationship.

Everything that I have belongs to you. So just take a look, take a break from asking and start worshiping and praising God. Yeah, yeah. Even through prayer and closet in my own room, I can pray and worship.

Praise God. Who was it to make me worship? My life is a life of worship. So if God is my source, then all I have been given to me by God, that means it already belongs to him already.

So I should technically be able to give God what he has already given me. I remember me and my wife would do this on time the time and we'll give our children something. My son is five years old, my daughter is three years old currently today. And we may give them a bag of chips.

And if we give them a bag of chips, we open it for them, we give them, we provide that for them, right? And then we might test them and say, hey, give me a chip, right? And typically they have no issue, man. They don't want that bad.

They might give me one. They might give me two. They might even give me three pieces of chips. Because they're like, you gave it to me anyway.

I'll give one, right? Same way for us, God tests us as well. You don't believe me? Let's go to do the run of each other, 13 for three and four.

He says, for the Lord, your God is testing you to find out whether you love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall follow the Lord, your God, and fear him. And you shall keep his commandments, listen to his voice, serve him, and sing to him. That's what it says.

All that I have is because God gave on to me. I only have salvation because God gave. I only have love because God gave. I only have peace because God gave.

I only have life because God gave. The Lord tells us concerning our love for him. He must have loved your heart. Do you love me with all your soul?

Do you love me with all your strength? In other words, every, I was every, every, every, I, y'all tell of me, should be given God praise. In other words, will you cling to him when you are in your darkest hour? Cling to him when it seems that everyone turned their back on you.

Will you still love him? Will you bless him if you are hoping to deter you away from God? Will you still love him? God give you a very thing to say for.

Will you still choose him? In the good times will you still choose him? In the more difficult times will you still choose me? So I got it saying today.

He tells you, he allows you to go to situations to see if you will choose him. Are you here so far, church? Will you choose him? Will you cling to him?

Will you cling to him? All your soul? Will you follow him? Right?

That's your abilities, your resources. Will you, will you love him? 1 John 5 verse 2 to 3 says something else, it says here. For the Lord, sorry, by this we know that we love the children of God.

When we love God and follow his commandments. For this is the love of God that we keep his commandments and his commandments are not burdensome. I share that because he tells us with his earth. He provides commands.

He provides things that we should obey. And if we truly love him, then we will truly obey him. Because obedience as we saw last week is really for our benefit. Anyway, why not obey the Lord our God?

Romans 14, 8 says for if we live we live for the Lord or if we die we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die we are the Lord. Apostle Paul says it like this in Galatians 2 verse 20, I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life which I now live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.

In other words, his and everything I have is his. So when I live today is not Omar living, it's Omar living through Christ who strengthens me. Amen church. Yeah, yeah.

That's why everybody say Omar did it. Great job. Glory to God. Because I remember when I could not speak.

When I started so much that to say a sentence to five minutes and oftentimes I would give up. That's Omar. But through Christ he delivered my tongue and allow me to speak and to preach his word. So yet it's not me.

It's Omar through Christ. God gets all of the glory, all of the honor and all of the praise. So not only is God the source but dependent upon him. And secondly, we've seen here today that all that we have already belongs to him.

The third piece now is you want to really show love to God? Love one another. Love one another. If you look at the 10 commandments God has portrayed, it is broken up into two parts.

What belongs to God and what belongs to each other? He says don't eat from your neighbor. Don't cut back for your neighbor's wife. He's talking about relationship between men and men.

Women and women. He's talking about relationship on the horizontal end. And he speaks about relationship on the vertical end. When God established laws in the wilderness, it was to maintain the culture that he was proclaiming.

A lot of us love to, I'm American. My family comes from Haiti. I'm Haitian. So they may call me Haitian American.

And that's so exciting. Yeah, I'm Haitian American. I belong to this culture. That's great.

But there's a culture that is bigger than American in Haitian. And that is called the biblical culture. We'll be learning to really follow God and live his culture. It sends every culture that lives on mankind.

Over here we say, man, love those who love you, man. Yeah, dude, I love you. You love me. But the biblical culture says love even your enemies.

And pray for those who persecute you. Hello, this is Bishop Collins with Houses of Worship International Christian Partnership. And as you probably know, we're in the process of building a home for homeless children in Mexico. And we're almost finished.

As you can see by the video, the work is feverishly going on right now. And I want to thank all of you who have supported us financially, those of you who supported us with prayer and with words of encouragement. I want to give you an opportunity to become a partner with us in this, not just in the building of it, but in the maintaining of this ministry. And you can do that by going to Houses of Worship or HOWICP.

HOWICP.org and become our partner, or donate there. HOWICP is an organization we just recently started and the desire behind it is one to help people to understand how to live holy and to encourage them how to live holy and by doing so to financially sustain and maintain the orphanage in Mexico. So please go and check it out again at HOWICP.org and we look forward to partnering with you. Have a blessed day.

Welcome back. Want a message, a great message for us to hear on a day like this. I really hope that you were blessed by this word. And so if you were blessed by this word, I would encourage you to reach out to us with the information provided here below.

Other than that, if you heard this message and you say, you know what? I have heard this message and I want to take Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in my life. I want to do that right here and right now. Well, I have great news for you.

Romans 10, 9 says, if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. That is the word of the Lord. There is no rocket science. There is no exercise.

As you have to write, it's just you have to believe in Jesus Christ our Lord. And if that's you today, I want to join with you in prayer. As you customize your own prayer, you pray to the Lord and you share with him. That you want him into your life to change your life altogether.

And let's pray at this moment. So Lord Father, we thank you in this moment that you have allowed us to hear such a great word, a word that makes us more aligned with you, a word that helps us change our lives for your glory alone. Father, will you bless those who have made the decision to accept you as Jesus Christ? Lord, keep them, hold them, and bless them.

I love you. Jesus' mighty name, amen. If you prayed that prayer, please reach out to us. We would love to hear from you.

And I pray that as you listen to these words, that you will be more aligned with Christ. Thank you for watching The Anointed Word, and see you next time.
