The Barefoot Forge
from WELD · host Weld.com
A few weeks ago, I met Craig Cowan at The Barefoot Forge. I found him by looking up the #pittsburghwelding to find someone local to me to visit. Little did I know that I was going to be exposed to a whole other side of the industry, the maker community. Craig not only offers intro to welding classes, he also has date night/girl's night classes such as making a rose, a railroad spike bottle opener and his most popular Damascus wedding rings. Couples can actually travel to his location (which is about to be an even bigger space) and create their own set of wedding rings. It is one of the most creative ideas I've ever heard and just makes the meaning of the ring so much more. We are excited to get more involved in the maker community and share more about forging, woodworking and how that applies to welding and everything in between!Find Craig @thebarefootforge on Instagram or visit his site https://www.thebarefootforge.com/
