In 2021, comedians Esyllt Sears and Stuart Laws bonded over their love of Baywatch - the 1990s action-drama series following a team of lifeguards in slow motion.But trouble was brewing. Which version of the show was superior? Esyllt maintained it was the original Baywatch. Stu insisted it was Baywatch Nights - the Hasselhoff-led detective/sci-fi spin-off series.The Battle Of Baywatch had begun - and was subsequently fought across two, unbroadcast, pilot podcast episodes. In each edition, a guest was to be presented with two episodes of the show - Esyllt would select an edition of the original Baywatch while Stuart would source a top-notch edition of Baywatch Nights. Having discussed the themes and montages, the comedian would then be encouraged to pick a side and announce which series they thought was superior.Despite repeated texts and Whatsapps asking questions like "what, you still have these?", "sorry, what did I say?" and "are you really sure I won't be cancelled?", The Xennial Dome is proud to present these long-lost tapes.
