Este disco que abarca todas las épocas de la banda con treinta canciones en setenta y seis minutos, llegó al puesto n.º 16 en Estados Unidos permaneciendo en las listas por 104 semanas, mientras que en el Reino Unido llegó al puesto n.º 46. Es uno de los álbumes compilatorios con más éxito de The Beach Boys, llegando a obtener doble platino en los Estados Unidos en 2005, el disco de platino en Canadá y en Australia. Hoy escucharemos Good vibrations’, tema de esta banda californiana, reconocido mayoritariamente como uno de los mejores y más importantes trabajos de la era del rock. Un estudio científico publicado en Febrero de 2023, señalaba que esta canción cuya elaboración tardo alrededor de 7 meses, es considerada "la canción más feliz de todos los tiempos". El Dr Michael Bonshor, profesor de psicología musical en la Universidad de Sheffiel, ha creado una simple fórmula para determinar lo "feliz" que es una canción. Y el tema de los Beach Boys tiene los ingredientes necesarios, entre otros, estar escrita a 137 ‘beats’ por minuto, una breve introducción y un tono brillante.
