Chapter 11 is the hinge point in the gospel of John taking Jesus from his public ministry to his eventual suffering and death. Jesus concludes his public ministry with one last miraculous sign, raising Lazarus to life after being four days dead. Few places in the Scriptures so clearly display the full humanity and full divinity of Jesus and if it is to be believed, then we can be assured that Jesus' idea of what love is is better than what our ideas of love are.
