Biblical marriage is a sacred covenant designed to reflect Christ's relationship with His church, not merely a romantic partnership or legal contract. This covenant sustains love through difficult seasons, unlike feelings-based relationships. Wives are called to submit to their husbands as to the Lord, while husbands must love sacrificially as Christ loved the church. Both roles require dying to self and allowing God's transformation.
