The Book of Laughter I have looked for joke books at the library, but never had much luck. But on one Tuesday my friend Riley shows up with a Garfield book. We started reading. It was Thursday in the book. Garfield says “it is lasagna night.” Jon sets down a bowl of cat food and says “eat it or else.” Garfield says I choose else and flips it in his face. We laughed. We looked like red faced, white toothed, goof-balls. It was so funny because the cat food was splattered all over Jon’s face unrealistically. We were supposed to be reading quietly. But we really did not get in trouble. When it was time to line up Riley kept repeating the joke.
