These “personal narratives” are true stories that students wrote about experiences from their own lives.The kids’ first step was to list “clear, small moments” that they remembered. Over the course of the unit, they selected some of these to write about.After writing anywhere between 3-10 personal narratives, students selected 2 to revise and take to final form.During the revising process, students needed to make sure that they:--”zoomed in” on a clear, small moment,--used lots of details,--began their stories with an interesting lead,--etc.This website was made ALMOST ENTIRELY by students from the 2/3 class.
