The Brain Fairy on Recovery Now With Kim Justus

from A Recovery Now · host Kim Justus

On January 15, 2006, Linda Arms faced an abrupt end to the person she recognized, when she became a TBI survivor. Her circumstance was considered a mild to moderate brain injury, but caused debilitating damage to her cognitive abilities and left her physically weak. She was suddenly toppled from what she thought to be her personal peak, into a deep hole by a freak accident. That is when she became Mina Kitty. Linda became someone who was always tired, walking around the house slowly, laying down a lot in different places in the house, taking naps, rarely leaving the house. It was like being a house cat. From that place, The Brain Fairy would emerge. See www.thebrainfairy.com where you can read moreabout her enlightening journey. This show is a gathering placefor anyone seeking recoveryfrom the challenges of life on life's terms. I introduce topics, and survivor's share their experience, strength and hope. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. More will be revealed! Tune in, stop in and call in. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me." We focus on the four A's of Recovery...Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation. This is a place for survivor's striving to become thrivers.  :) Some nights we will have a featured guest, and others we will introduce a topic of recovery, encouraging callers to join us in the discussion.
