The Broken Realms Chronicles: The First Cipher

from Tales of the Broken Realms · host Adam Green, Zac Carter, Grace Henman, Kaleb McGuire, Skyy Bunny TTV, Sam

Tales of the Broken Realm: The Scorched Codex and the Spire of the First FlameAdam introduces a shared-world D&D project where multiple dungeon masters run one-shots in the same realm, then DMs Grace Henman, Kaleb McGuire, Skyy Bunny, and Sam Limon introduce themselves. In Opal Keep, a city under Malakar surveillance amid rebellion, Henry Croft (tiefling warlock), Sham (kobold alchemist), Celine Duskbain (human in noble plate with divine visions), and Zeb (warforged sorcerer) are summoned to the Flaming Chapel to meet exiled scholar Professor Eli Thorn. Thorn recruits them to find the first ring of the Cipher of the First Flame by stealing a scorched codex page from the guarded Library of Malakar (formerly Eldrich Record), and gives Henry a Sun Cipher orb tied to Empress Ceridil. Disguised, the party infiltrates via sewers, solves a celestial door puzzle, survives traps, and retrieves a riddle page pointing to Glom Lock. Traveling there, they enter a collapsing spire archive, use a divine recollection scroll, unlock a seal with Ceridil’s name, earn a location scroll from the Words Keeper, and escape as the spire collapses, then follow a hidden map toward Mount Hahrathen and descend into an aurora-lit cavern with nine celestial statues.00:00 Welcome and Format00:36 Meet the Dungeon Masters02:23 Opal Keep Mission Hook03:24 Henry Croft Arrives04:55 Sham the Kobold Joins06:43 Celine Answers the Call10:06 Zeb Crashes In13:01 Professor Thorn Revealed18:46 The Library Lead20:47 Sun Cipher and Warnings28:34 Disguises and Street Act35:41 Spotted by Malakar Agents43:26 Sewer Infiltration Plan50:21 Into the Scriptorium51:39 Divine Fire Mystery52:40 Unexplored Library Wing55:12 Celestial Door Puzzle58:14 Sanctum of Ink Revealed59:58 Book Trap Arrow Barrage01:03:12 Skill Challenge Escape01:16:10 Garden Breather Short Rest01:17:10 Riddle From the Codex01:20:31 Three Day Trek Begins01:21:32 Roadside Corpse Loot01:24:11 Suspicious Random Inn01:28:14 Crowned Elk Encounter01:29:18 Glam Lock And Flame Spire01:32:33 Fractured Spire Climb01:36:11 Misty Step Saves01:40:53 Scroll Vault Rest01:43:19 Dispel Stasis Field01:45:49 Divine Lock Riddle01:54:18 Wordskeeper Encounter01:59:20 Spire Collapse Escape02:05:28 Secret Map North02:07:14 Icy Cavern Descent02:14:18 Nine Statues ChamberDungeon Master SocialsTavern Talks: https://linktr.ee/taverntalksGrace: https://www.tiktok.com/@thischickenisalsoadragon?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pcKaleb: https://www.tiktok.com/@multiversofnerd?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pcSkyy: https://linktr.ee/skyybunnyttvSam: https://linktr.ee/wisdomsavepodcastAll Music Done by: Jack Henman
