This film was directed by Joe Dante.  The ‘Burbs tells the story of Ray Peterson (Tom Hanks) and a week-long staycation at his suburban home with his wife, Carol (Carrie Fisher) and kids. Ray often gossips with his buddies Art (Rick Ducommun) and Mark (Bruce Dern) about the new neighbors on the block—and they suspect they’re up to something diabolical. The trio conducts a series of misinformed investigations attempting to prove the family is guilty of murder…and as ridiculous as it seems, maybe they’re right?  This movie currently holds a 56% rating with critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 71% score with audiences.
