The Case of Jasmine Renne Singletary Bortle

This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Bonifay, Florida, to discuss the case of 14-year-old Jasmine Renne Singletary Bortle, a teenage girl living with an unspecified neuromuscular disorder. After being admitted to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, on July 8th, 2021, Jasmine mysteriously died in her hospital bed a few days later. After an autopsy was completed, officers with the Pensacola Police Department responded to a call from the District One Medical Examiner’s Office regarding a homicide at the hospital. It seemed that young Jasmine had sustained injuries that were akin to a person dying in a severe car crash - injuries that were not present when she was admitted. But how did that happen while she was bedridden?
