This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Smyrna, Delaware, to discuss the case of 3-year-old Emma Grace Cole, who became the victim of a tragic and highly publicized case of fatal child abuse and torture. On September 13, 2019, Emma's charred skeletal remains were found in the bushes near the Smyrna-Clayton Little Lass Softball fields. Because her body was severely burned and left without identification, investigators spent more than a year working to identify her. She was referred to by law enforcement as "Baby Elle" until a credible tip led to her identification in October 2020. Court documents later revealed that Emma endured an agonizing final year of life. Her mother, Kristie Haas, and stepfather, Brandon Haas, subjected Emma and her half-siblings to starvation, extreme physical discipline, and forced exercise. Emma was heavily singled out for the abuse. After Emma became unresponsive following a severe beating, her mother attempted to revive her with a cold shower rather than calling 911. After Emma died, Kristie burned her body and dumped her remains. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Arkansas to discuss the case of Jersey bridgeman, a 6-year-old girl , who became the subject of widespread national attention following her tragic abduction and murder on November 20, 2012. Before her murder, Jersey had already suffered severe, publicized abuse at the hands of her family. In 2011, her father, David Bridgeman, and stepmother, Jana Bridgeman, were arrested for chaining her to a dresser as a form of punishment. Both pleaded guilty in June 2012 to false imprisonment and permitting the abuse of a minor. Her stepmother was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and her father was sentenced to 18 years. Following their arrest, Jersey was placed back into the custody of her biological mother. On November 20, 2012, just days after her sixth birthday, Jersey was reported missing from her home. Later that day, law enforcement discovered her body hidden in a bedroom closet inside a vacant house located between her home and a neighbor's house. An autopsy confirmed that her cause of death was asphyxia due to strangulation, and forensic evidence indicated she had been sexually assaulted. Police arrested Zachary Holly, a 28-year-old next-door neighbor and trusted family friend who had been babysitting Jersey and her younger sibling the night she disappeared. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Washington state to discuss the crimes of Jack Owen Spillman III. Known as the "Werewolf Butcher," Jack is a serial killer and rapist from Spokane, Washington, who is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole at the Washington State Penitentiary. In April 1995, Jack murdered 48-year-old Rita Huffman and her 15-year-old daughter, Mandy Huffman, in East Wenatchee, Washington. Following his arrest for those crimes, he also confessed to the 1994 slaying of 9-year-old Penny Davis in Tonasket, Washington. Jack broke into homes, brutally slaughtered his victims, and subsequently engaged in gruesome post-mortem sexual mutilation and theatrical staging. He once told a cellmate that he imagined himself as a werewolf stalking its prey. His personal journals, later recovered by investigators, detailed dark fantasies of consumption, transformation, and primitive animalistic dominance. If she's lying, I then guess that didn't seem to work out for her, now did it?This week, Drewby and Yergy head over to the UK to discuss the case of Marley and Elijah Thomas, two young boys who were drowned in a bathtub by their mother, Kara Alexander, after an evening of smoking "skunk," which is a catchall for strong cannabis strains. On December 16th, 2022, the two boys were found dead at their home on Cornwallis Road in Dagenham, East London. Their father, Selvin Thomas, became concerned after failing to reach Kara and went to the house, where he discovered the boys' bodies lying together in a bunk bed. Post-mortem examinations determined that Marley and Elijah died from either drowning or suffocation. During her trial at Kingston Crown Court, Kara denied the murders. She claimed she had put the boys in the bath and fell asleep, arguing that they had "accidentally" drowned. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Philadelphia, PA, to discuss the case of 4-year-old Zya Singleton. On October 30th, 2019, emergency services responded to a home in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood. Zya's guardian, Samiya Brown, claimed that the toddler had accidentally fallen out of a second-story window while playing with a cat. Zya was hospitalized in critical condition and tragically died from her injuries and a severe blood infection on November 3rd. Medical professionals and the city medical examiner quickly determined that the window-fall story was a lie. An autopsy revealed that Zya had endured years of horrific, systemic physical abuse. Her injuries included severe malnutrition, multiple broken bones, acid, cigarette, and thermal burns, human bite marks, as well as homemade stitches that Samiya had haphazardly sewn into Zya's skin, which ultimately led to sepsis. The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office described the tragedy as "potentially one of the worst cases of child abuse anyone has ever seen." Samiya was immediately arrested and denied bail. In May of 2022, she avoided a first-degree murder trial by pleading guilty to third-degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child, and possessing an instrument of crime. Zya’s biological mother, Jasmine Singleton, had voluntarily given custody of Zya to Samiya, who was a family friend and married to her stepbrother, around two years prior to the murder. This week, Drewby and Yergy discuss two cases. The first is about a newborn baby named Jeremiah who was tragically found dead inside a construction site porta potty in Gretna, Louisiana. The child's mother, 37-year-old Lakesha Lemelle, was indicted for second-degree murder by a Jefferson Parish grand jury. It was determined at autopsy that baby Jeremiah was a full term, 7.2 pound infant who was born alive. His cause of death was listed as asphyxia due to drowning in raw sewage. The second story is about a little boy whose name we don't have, and that's because he made it out alive... But not before the new woman in his father's life (allegedly) attempted to burn his ear off with scalding water because she found him "ugly." This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Rensselaer, New York, to discuss the horrific case of Josefina "Josie" Cunningham, an adorable toddler who was raped and murdered by her mother's boyfriend, 34-year-old Robert Fisher. Between July 6th and 7th of 2023, Robert was babysitting 3-year-old Josie at her home on Broadway in Rensselaer. During this time, he crushed prescription medication and forced the child to drink it. While she was conscious, he brutally assaulted her. When the child's mother returned, she found Josie unresponsive and foaming at the mouth. Robert had heavily staged the crime scene, positioning the toddler on her back with her hands folded, and had aggressively used Clorox bleach wipes to scrub her face and body in an attempt to destroy DNA evidence. She scrubbed so hard, that the pigment was removed from her skin. Josie was rushed to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Tucson, Arizona, to discuss the case of Christopher Mathew Payne, who was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death in 2009 for the brutal starvation and abuse of his two children, 4-year-old Tyler, and 3-year-old Ariana. His live-in girlfriend, Reina Gonzales, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder and was sentenced to 22 years in prison in exchange for her testimony against him. The horrific abuse unfolded over several months in 2006... The couple locked Tyler and Ariana inside a small bedroom closet. While the couple heavily abused heroin, they initially fed the children only one sandwich a day before cutting off food entirely. The children were kept permanently in the dark closet without bathroom access. Autopsy reports later revealed that Ariana suffered a broken spine near the time of her death, alongside numerous healed broken ribs and a broken shoulder. Ariana died first from severe starvation and physical trauma. Christopher left her body in the closet with her brother Tyler, who was still alive. Tyler died approximately one week later. He then stuffed both children's bodies into plastic bags and stored them inside a large plastic container. He then rented a midtown Tucson storage unit and locked the container away. The crimes went unnoticed until February 2007, when the storage facility facility manager cleared out the locker due to non-payment. Ariana's decomposed remains were found inside. Tyler’s body was never recovered, and investigators believe he was discarded in a dumpster that was emptied into the Los Reales Landfill. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Ohio to discuss the case of Matthew James Dunmire, a a 31-year-old aspiring musician and father who was murdered in March 2021. His death became the subject of a high-profile federal investigation after his body was discovered in a secluded wooded area of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. On March 5, 2021, Matthew left a local bar to meet a woman he had been communicating with online. Surveillance footage and phone records tracked him to an Airbnb and eventually to the park's Terra Vista Natural Study Area. He was shot once in the back of the head. Hikers discovered his body three days later. Chelsea Perkins (aka Chelsea Savage), a 35-year-old U.S. Coast Guard veteran and adult film performer from Virginia, was identified as the killer. Chelsea lured Matthew to the national park under the false pretense of filming a video. Prosecutors characterized the crime as a calculated "revenge killing". Chelsea had accused Matthew of sexual assault in Virginia Beach back in 2017. Local police investigated at the time, but no charges were filed due to a lack of evidence. In May of 2025, Chelsea Perkins pleaded guilty in federal court to second-degree murder and using a firearm in a violent crime. On September 9, 2025, a federal judge sentenced her to 22.5 years in prison. She is serving her sentence at a federal facility in West Virginia. The case came to light in August 2025 when Cherie's 11-year-old daughter gave birth at home without any prenatal care or medical assistance, and subsequent DNA tests proved that her stepfather, Dustin, was the father of the child. : When authorities raided the Muskogee residence, they discovered the couple's five other children (ages 2 to 9) living in absolute squalor. The home had no running water or air conditioning, was heavily doused in animal feces and urine, and the children were found completely unclothed. Cherie's mother, Michelle Lynn Justus, was charged with six counts of felony child neglect. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to New Port Richey, Florida, to discuss the case of 41-year-old Scooter Abrahamsen, who was brutally murdered on May 15th, 2010 by pornstar couple Amanda Logue (aka Sunny Dae) and Jason Andrews (aka Addison). Scooter, known locally as a fun-loving biker and owner of Embellishing Tattoo & Piercing (among other businesses), hosted a sex party at his residence. He hired Amanda to work at the party. While guests were present, Amanda and her boyfriend exchanged an extensive series of graphic text messages plotting Scooter's murder and robbery. Once the other guests departed around 5:00 AM, Amanda instructed Scooter to lie face down on a massage table. She then messaged Jason, who was waiting outside in a car, giving him the signal to enter. Together, they attacked Scooter, stabbing him multiple times and fracturing his skull with a sledgehammer. This week, Drewby and Yergy head back to Georgia to discuss the crimes of Sarah Grace Patrick, a teenage girl who, according to prosecutors, killed her mother and stepfather in cold blood. On February 20th, 2025, 41-year-old Kristin Brock and her husband, 45-year-old James Brock were found shot to death in their bed. Their then 5-year-old daughter discovered their bodies. Sarah, who was 16 at the time, called 911. Following the murders, Sarah posted emotional videos on TikTok and delivered a funeral eulogy that concluded with "I'm sorry," which prosecutors contend was part of an effort to manipulate public opinion. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Singapore to discuss the case of Liu Hong Mei, a 22-year-old factory worker from China who was murdered and dismembered by her supervisors and lover, Leong Siew Chor. According to reports, 50-year-old Leong Siew Chor killed Liu Hong Mei in order to hide their year-long affair, as well as the theft of her ATM card (and subsequent funds). In June of 2005, he strangled her to death in his apartment with a towel, before dismembering her body and disposing of her the Kallang River and nearby garbage bins. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Wembley, North London, UK, to discuss the case of Mee Kuen "Deborah" Chong, a 67-year-old Malaysian-born devout Christian who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. At the time of the events of this week's story, Deborah has befriended 38-year-old osteopath, Jemma Mitchell, whom she met through her church group. Jemma and her mother were living in a dilapidated £4 million house and desperately needed funds to complete a failed renovation project. Deborah initially agreed to lend Jemma £200,000 but rescinded the offer days before her death, advising her to sell the house instead. On June 11, 2021, CCTV captured Jemma walking into Deborah's home with a large, seemingly empty blue suitcase. She spent over five hours inside, during which she fractured Deborah's skull, broke her ribs, and decapitated her. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Brownwood, Texas, to discuss the case of HardiQuinn Hill, a 9-year-old girl who died of severe malnutrition and abuse on August 22, 2022. Her mother, Dawn Faith Hill-Flesner, and her mother's girlfriend, Jamie Faye Anderson, both pleaded guilty to capital murder in 2023. : Child protective workers found that HardiQuinn and her 11-year-old brother lived downstairs in severe filth with trash and locked refrigerators. In contrast, the two adults lived comfortably upstairs with air conditioning and plenty of food. Neighbors and family had made multiple reports to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services before her death. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Warsaw, Indiana, to discuss the case of Sarah J Gibbs, a 34-year-old autistic woman who was brutally killed in her apartment. On December 19, 2014, first responders rushed to a duplex fire on East Smith Street. Inside the home, fire crews found Sarah's badly burned body in the living room. While the fire at first looked like an accident, a closer look by the police changed everything. An autopsy proved that Sarah was murdered before the fire was set. Her family shared that she had been stabbed to death. The killer used a chemical accelerant to burn down the home to cover up the crime. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Wisconsin to discuss the case of a 14-year-old girl, whom we'll be referring using the pseudonym, "Emma." Emma was subjected to severe child abuse and neglect, and was hospitalized in November of 2025 after weighing only 35lbs. The teen was discovered by police after her father called 911 when she became severely ill. She was admitted to the hospital with extreme malnourishment and multi-organ dysfunction. In the hospital, she was able to regain weight and eat normally, which contradicted the family's claims that she had autism and simply refused to eat.Those arrested were her father, Walter Goodman, her stepmother, Melissa Goodman, her stepsister, Savanna LeFever, as well as Savanna's girlfriend, Kayla Stemler. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Bensalem, PA, to discuss the case of Cosmo DiNardo, a convicted mass murderer and nepo baby who is currently serving four consecutive life sentences. Cosmo admitted to luring four young men to his family's sprawling 90-acre farm in Solebury Township in July of 2017. There, all four were shot. When the fourth man, Mark Sturgis, didn't die immediately, Cosmo plowed over him with a backhoe while he was still alive. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Henderson, Nevada, to discuss the case of 46-year-old Johnathan Willette, who became the victim of a high profile murder investigation in Augusta of 2023. His ex-girlfriend, adult film actress Devyn Michaels, was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to 28-years to life in prison. Johnathan's own mother discovered his decapitated, chemical-soaked body in his Henderson home. According to reports, fumes were actively coming from the body due to poured bleach and ammonia. This week, Drewby and Yergy head down to Louisville, Kentucky, not for the Kentucky Derby, but to discuss the case of 37-year-old hairdresser and drag performer, Jamie Carroll. Jamie went missing in December of 2009, but was never officially reported missing as he was scheduled to report to prison on drug charges. Prior to his disappearance, he met up with two men, Joey Banis and Jeffrey Mundt. While visiting Mundt's Old Louisville mansion, the three men engaged in chemsex, after which Jamie was stabbed six times and shot once in the head. His body was stuffed into a plastic storage container, doused in lime, and buried in a makeshift grave in the basement, where it was discovered 7 months later. Airi was a 22-year-old hostess and streamer who was fatally stabbed to death near Takadanobaba Station in Shinjuku by a deranged fan. Airi was livestreaming when the attack occurred, and her fans witnesses her final moments on screen. Police arrested 42-year-old Kenji Takano, who was still at the scene of the crime. Kenji had traveled around 60 miles from his home in Oyama to stab Airi, after plotting the attack by studying her stream schedule, and tracking her down by looking at landmarks in the background of the stream. This week, Drewby and Yergy head back up to Wisconsin to discuss the case of 5-week-old Alisa Eleanor Rosenbrook, who was the daughter of of 90 Day Fiancé stars Leida Margaretha and Eric Rosenbrook, who died on July 9th, 2025. Just days prior, on July 4th, Eric was arrested for domestic battery after allegedly slapping Leida while she held the infant. Alisa was found unresponsive later that day and placed on life support for five days before passing away. Flash forward to March of 2026, and reports indicated that the Adams County Health and Human Services Department's initial assessment ruled Alisa's death "non-accidental." The assessment cited a "preponderance of the evidence to substantiate maltreatment of physical abuse to the infant by the mother." As of the date of this release in April of 2026, no criminal charges have been filed specifically in connection with the infant's death. A final autopsy report is still pending, and Erica and Leida have hired a private medical examiner to review the case. We first learned of Zara's case while recently on vacation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after seeing a #JusticeForZara bumper sticker. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Hayward, California, to discuss the case of 26-year-old nursing student, Michelle Hoang Thi Le. Michelle was last seen at around 7:00 p.m. at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Hayward, where she was completing a clinical rotation for Samuel Merritt University. She disappeared during a break while walking to her car. Her locked SUV was found abandoned nearby the next morning with bloodstains inside. Security footage and GPS data showed her former high school friend, Giselle Esteban, was at the scene and traveled along the same route as Michelle’s phone shortly after she vanished. After four months of intensive searches, Michelle Le’s skeletal remains were discovered in September 2011 in a remote canyon. Prosecutors established that Giselle was motivated by a "deadly obsession" and jealousy. Jessica vanished on October 5th, 2012, while walking a short distance to meet friends for school. Her backpack, containing her glasses, was discovered two days later in a neighborhood roughly seven miles away. Her torso was found on October 10th in a park in Arvada, Colorado. Austin Sigg, then 17 years old, was identified as the killer after his mother, Mindy, called police to report his confession on October 23rd, 2012. DNA evidence later linked him to the crime. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Hanwell, West London, UK, to discuss the case of 14-year-old Alice Gross. Alice left her home on August 28th, 2014, and was last captured on CCTV at 4:26 PM walking along the Grand Union Canal towpath towards Hanwell. Her disappearance led to the largest Metropolitan Police search operation since the 7/7 London bombings, involving over 600 officers. Sadly, Alice's body was found on September 30th, hidden on the bed of the River Brent, weighted down with bricks and logs. Arnis Zalkalns, a 41-year-old Latvian builder was identified as the prime suspect after he went missing just days after Alice's disappearance. He was filmed cycling the same canal route just 15 minutes behind Alice on the day she vanished. This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Switzerland to discuss the case of 38-year-old Kristina Joksimovic, a 38-year-old former model and Miss Switzerland finalist who was found dead in her home in Binningen, near Basel, in February 2024. In December 2025, her husband, Marc Rieben, was formally charged with her murder following a detailed investigation that revealed exceptionally gruesome details about the crime. An autopsy report concluded she was strangled, and forensic evidence contradicted her husband's initial claim that he acted in self-defense after she allegedly attacked him with a knife. However, authorities revealed that after the murder, Marc allegedly dismembered Kristina's body using a jigsaw, garden shears, and a knife.
