The Cherries ☂️

While seated in a comfortable chair, enjoying a bowl of cherries, my mind keeps wandering to those moments when we forget to take a break, to look around, and to recognize the reality we are living. Our responsibilities are real, our schedules are full, and our work matters. But each day is also new. Every morning brings another opportunity, one where we can choose to enjoy the cherries instead of focusing only on everything still waiting to be done.As I sit here, I also think about the moments when we don't make time to simply sit. We run, run, run, trying to accomplish everything, forgetting that a pause is not wasted time. In fact, it can strengthen our health and even improve our pace.Let's face it. When we are tired, we don't walk the same way. When we are overwhelmed, we don't think as clearly or solve problems as wisely. There is a reason God created seasons. If all we do is rushing from one season to the next, we miss the beauty, the lessons, and the gifts each one has to offer.Whatever season you are living today, if it is a difficult one, I pray this cycle comes to an end soon. But if you are in a season of peace, don't rush through it. Enjoy it.No matter where you find yourself today, I encourage you to take a moment. Pause. Breathe. Grab a piece of fruit, whatever you enjoy, and for just a minute, take a bite without thinking about the next task on your list.That's exactly what I'm doing today......with my cherries!BW
