Rebbe Nachman explains that the clouds represent emunah (faith), which both guides and protects a person when the path is unclear. Aharon merited this protection because he embodied simcha (joy), berachah (blessing) and peace, rejoicing in Moshe Rabbeinu’s greatness rather than becoming jealous. When the aspect of Aharon weakens, Amalek enters through confusion, disguising falsehood as truth within the Heichal HaTemurot (Chamber of Exchanges).
