The Complaints of the Keter
from Breslov Therapy · host Meir Elkabas
In Parshat Beha’alotkha, the Torah describes how the Jewish people left Har Sinai after receiving the Torah, only to fall into complaint during the journey through the desert. The unusual prefix in the word “kemit’onenim” points to the letter kaf, which is connected to the Keter—the spiritual barrier that pushes a person back when he comes close to the Infinite Light. Rebbe Nachman explains that this pushback is not rejection, but a test: will a person turn the descent into yearning for Hashem, or into bitterness and complaint? The failure of the complainers was that they lacked simcha and saw the journey as evil instead of using the difficulty to express ratzon and longing. The lesson is that every person faces moments when the light is taken away, but through simcha, gratitude and honest prayer, the descent itself becomes the vessel for receiving greater light. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends.
