I was on a work call when my daughter called me in tears — and y'all already know, when your child calls crying, the whole world stops. She told me one of her good friends had just lost his father while he was at school today. And what hit even harder? I had just seen that man the day before. I knew the father for years and never even realized that was his boy. Small world, FAM. Real small world. This young man, DJ, is three weeks from graduating. Three weeks.
