Unlike top-down systems that can be corrupted or dismantled, decentralized movements—driven by communities, activists, and ordinary citizens—can withstand authoritarian power. From registering voters to exposing propaganda, protesting injustice, and demanding accountability, people power remains the strongest defense against fascism.History proves it: the Civil Rights Movement in the U.S., Solidarity in Poland, and the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa all prevailed because ordinary people refused to be silent and they demanded justice.Today, when leaders vilify marginalized communities, attack democracy, or steal our votes and voices, they revive the old playbook of fascism.
