The Cyclists' Voice with Meredith Miller (Episode 228)

from Girls Gone Gravel podcast

Our guest this week may sound familiar to our listeners who have been following along with the 2025 Life Time Grand Prix. This year Meredith Miller has been on the commentary team for Unbound Gravel as well as the Leadville MTB 100 races, serving as the voice that colors the race alongside Bill Ross. But her experience in the cycling industry spans much further than announcing races. After her collegiate soccer career ended, Meredith was looking for a new sport to focus her energy on, and decided cycling was a good thing to try. She bought her first bike and joined a race team in the same year, and it wasn’t long before she was racing professionally, including a stint of bouncing around Europe on road teams. Meredith eventually made her way back to the US, and won the National Championships on the road in 2009. She also raced cyclocross, co-owned a race team, and worked for an apparel brand, before landing at her current role as the Road Sports Marketing Manager at Shimano. She tells us what prompted her to make the jump to Shimano in the depths of the pandemic, and gives her insight on how the industry has changed for women over the years. As well as a few tips for anyone looking for support from big brands like Shimano. Follow Meredith on Instagram @mm_teamshimano Grab your spot for our Gravel x Mechanic Camp at www.girlsgonegravel.com
