The Depth of God's Encouraging Comfort [Wednesday, #278]

from RETREATING WITH GOD · host Jon Fugler FRESH FAITH 24/7

When our heart is broken, there’s only one Person who can comfort our soul. God. Knowing that and experiencing it are two different things. Travelling through Scripture, we find powerful verses on comfort. Read them slowly and let them sink in. For example: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3 NIV). We'll reflect on this and others in our time together today. KEY PASSAGE: Romans 8:26-28 NIV In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who i have been called according to his purpose. RESOURCES: Take the Free PERSONAL SELF-ASSESSMENT.
