The double-blessing of helping hands

from Tea With George · host George Caylor, Diane Gruber, Steve Putney

A Helping Hand by Steve AdamsMy friend was diagnosed last year with Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma.  It has been painful watching him, his wife and four young kids navigate the disease.  About a month ago, he received his second stem cell transplant and is recovering in the hospital.  The numbers are tracking well, but we do not expect him home for another three months. This past weekend and early this week was spent helping the family move and doing some chores around the house that my friend would normally have done.  His wife was so grateful and the kids were a joy to work with as they all helped with projects. I got to teach them lessons like “righty tighty lefty loosy”.Any cancer is insidious and Multiple Myeloma is one of the worst.  This is not meant to garner sympathy or accolades because this amazing audience would have done the same thing.  To my friend, I am behind you 100% and anticipating the day we can enjoy a cold drink on the tailgate!Sponsored by Caylor Group Wealth Management in Lynchburg, VA.
